Born in Babylon, Iraq and a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, California, Ali Kareem focuses on making films that highlight our shared humanity and build bridges across geographic and cultural gaps. In addition to making movies, Ali brings his filmmaking techniques and cinematic visual style to shooting wedding films that tell a story and evoke emotion through carefully crafted images. Recently, Ali directed and shot the short film "RED", which was a finalist for "Best Drama" and "Best Acting" in the My Rode Reel International Short Film Competition which saw over 1220 film submissions from around the globe. Ali's short film "The Time of Ramadan" was featured on CNN International. Ali's films have played in Seattle, Dallas, Paris, Dubai, Bulgaria, and China. Currently Ali is writing his first feature-length screenplay.
